Morvaman, Nice job on the table. Can you tell a difference in performance in your table and your friends new one? I do like the new version of the lifter station on his machine. Much more compact than the older one. Thanks for posting the pics.
Hello guys,
I'm seeing some new builds and modifications of tables, nice work. Here are some pics of a table I just finished for a friend of mine. It's the new model steel gantry and it's a lot different than the one I purchased last year. We made the table 2" shorter in height and made our own style smoke dust collector. We did every thing in one week.

The machine runs a lot smoother therefore making it quieter. Not saying that my machine is loud. The only thing I dont like is that with the newer model the laser locater does not stay on during cutting and I cant keep it on to align the sheets on start up. Its now wired into the machines harness and controlled by the machines program. Other than that it is real nice. Im jealous. The new lifter station needs no air to keep dust out and yes it is compact. He also got the new collision detector which i will be purchasing soon.

morvaman,
I noticed he HP unit mounted high. Is this for space or does it put it out of the dust zone? I have seen a few this way. It makes sense if you have a strong spot on the wall. Very nice build and in a week! Just curious if the steel gantry feels more rigid than the aluminum gantry?

Nice job Morvaman
Morvaman, Thats a fast table build! You mentioned the noise difference. Does your table have different gear boxes or gear rack than your friends new one? Are you still planning on doing a dual drop on your table?
morvaman, I copied your high-mount idea today. Every time I see something neat on the zone, it adds another day to my build (lol). I was going to work on my table this week-end but my back hurts like H E double toothpicks after carrying it up the ladder. Just kidding!
Seriously, thanks for posting the pics and the good info!

what is the lenght of your torch cable? no pain no gain hope u feel better.
morvaman, I got a 50 footer. It should be long enough. Did you have plenty of room with your other cables? I will have a cabinet on wheels to route everything to. I see the machine here has the DT console. Did it mount OK?
I was kidding about my back, it was heavier than I expected though. I have most of the weekend to "make progress". I am looking forward to it.
Have a great weekend!
