I know thi shas been gone over before but I cant find it. I am cutting 11 ga artsy stuff. I use 40 amp tips and get a pretty good cut, but cant seem to get a good cut with fine cut tips. Anybody use metal this thin and 40 amp fine cuts? If so what kind of settings are you running? BTW way I am running a Hypertherm Powermax 1250.

I think i remember you guys from the we-cim training at dynatorch (gary is my dad). Anyways, i cut mostly 14 ga cold roll stuff with 40a finecuts. My settings are as follows: setpoint= 93 Feedrate=130 My amperage on the 1250is set at about 32. You should be able to cut pretty decent with those settings if you turn down the feedrate a little(,maybe 100) and increase the setpoint to about 100. You should probably run the plasma inbetween 35-40. Give that a try, and hope for the best lol.

yeah man, no problem. What kind of artsy stuff are you doing? Signage type stuff or like stuff for furniture?

Mostly signage type stuff like you were doing, yard art, pictures and such. I will try to post some pics so you can see.

About 6 to 8 weeks behind , not with just the artsy stuff but with everything combined, lol.

Well staying busy is good. I,ve been doing a lot of furniture stuff, its pretty fun, a little more interesting than doing signs all the time.
