| Chris, I would highly suggest your contacting Hypertherm and let them recommend the size electrode and tip. Their tech support is 1st class and they enjoy talking to the end-user. Good luck with the 1250, you'll enjoy it! Tom |

| cstroke, I'm running a Powermax 1000 and use Hypertherms Finecut consumables for 11 gauge and thinner. I use 40 amp shielded nozzles for 1/8" to 5/16". For everything over 5/16" I use a 60 amp shielded nozzle. The back of your owners manual contains cutting charts. These charts include nozzle type, feedrate, current(amps), and arc voltage. They'll get you close. Tweak from there. Jcar, |

| cstroke, I am using fine cut tips as well, but can use them on up to 1/8" steel. I use the fine cuts for detail and on the larger parts(size wise less detail) I use 60 amp tips from 1/8" to 3/8" steel. There is a settings post on previous threads, you can print that out and they are pretty much spot on. Welcome to the DT family!!
