Has anyone used or heard of this system. Digitizing Solutions for Tracing I think its cool. Thinking of getting one. any opinions?  |

| I'm not familiar with that brand. My first job was digitizing soil maps using Autocad on a 386 in 1989, when the 386 was crazy expensive and powerfull  The resulting dxf files were imported into ArcInfo for some large database.Digitizing was quickly replaced with sheet scanning. What would take days hand digitizing could be done it minutes with a scanner. Over the years I've passed up a few digitizing tables, although I always thought it would be handy now and again. They are heavy and take up a lot of space. If you come across an old one it may be a trick to find the correct drivers although I suspect Autocad may still have native support built it. If you find one they are often free or cheap. |
