I have been spraying my rack and rails with W.D.40. should I be using heavier oil. I took the air line off my scribe and gave it a shot of air motor oil. good idea or bad? What should we do to keep our machines in good shape. |

| Miles, I use a drop of air tool oil as well in my Dynascribe. As far as the gear racks go I use Silicone spray lubricant. It does not attract dust and dirt like oil does. I try to keep the gear rack as clean as possible to prevent wear. Magma-joe |

| Miles, thanks for the compliment on the table. The scribe modification has worked extremely well. The Dynascribe easily paid for itself in the first few jobs. I have a job pending to engrave two 3ft x 4ft wall hangings from aluminum. Parts of the engraving lines will be air brushed by an artist for effects. It should be a fun project. Magma-joe |
