Cair and feeding of dynatorch

I have been spraying my rack and rails with W.D.40.
should I be using heavier oil.
I took the air line off my scribe and gave it a shot of air motor oil.
good idea or bad?
What should we do to keep our machines in good shape.

Miles,

I use a drop of air tool oil as well in my Dynascribe. As far as the gear racks go I use Silicone spray lubricant. It does not attract dust and dirt like oil does. I try to keep the gear rack as clean as possible to prevent wear.

Miles, thanks for the compliment on the table.
The scribe modification has worked extremely well. The Dynascribe easily paid for itself in the first few jobs. I have a job pending to engrave two 3ft x 4ft wall hangings from aluminum. Parts of the engraving lines will be air brushed by an artist for effects. It should be a fun project.
