You should be able to run a HP1250 with no problem at all. Mine is on a 50 amp breaker and I have never had a problem with it at all.
Now that I am very serious about ordering a new machine. I am having a heavy duty 220 line run to my garage and believe I can get 200 amp service in it. Still not enough for a hypertherm 1250,or 1650 . Could anyone help on suggestions for phase converters and on how much power the gantry, compressor and maybe a small light bulb to see with can all be run. I already have 100 amp 220 run maybe someone else can tell me if i can make do with that with a heavy duty phase converter or at least send a link to some sort of diagram or even better a pic of how others have solved this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.![]()

1650 is three phase.

I had a electrician move my mast and install a 200 amp panel in my attached garage, he used a 70 amp breaker for the 1250, i run everything off this panel including a 100 amp breaker and cable to my 100 amp existing panel in the house, i have never had any problem cutting or in the house.

200A service will be more than adequate to run the 1250 HT, Compressor, & all the light you can use with power to spare.
If it works.....Don't fix it!
