Ok I purchased a MHP 30 VMC with the dynapath I believe 20 controller. It is the conversational control and I have all the books that they had with the machine. Here is my problem. I followed their training manual and wrote a simple bolt circle program with 4 holes above the circle. When it asks to go and put the first tool about .25 from x minus and y minus, and use the E01 to add these dimensions on the x and y individually of course and press fixture calibration to record the 0-0 position. I can not seem to find that fixture calibration anywhere on the screen or on the control buttons. This must create some issue with the program because when I go and execute the program the drill moves to the left of the block and runs the whole program just cutting air. How do I establish the starting point on each program so this does not happen? as I said this is my first dynapath encounter so I am very green but frustrated that I can't use the machine because of it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Claude |

| It sounds like you're working from what is called a Quickstart manual. It also sounds like your DynaPath control was made well before the manual was written and so doesn't have the 'Fixture Calibrate' soft keys at the bottom of the CRT. All the 'Fixture Calibrate' soft key did was 'do the math' for you. If you don't have the feature, subtract the 0.25" from the number displayed in your axis position and enter the result manually in the fixture offset table. |

| Thanks for the reply. Yes I am working off of the quickstart manual like I said I am very greeen on this control. I will try your suggestion and see what happens. I guess this procedure is used for all programs written? Thanks again |
