NEED HELP Dynapath 40 EXECUTIVE FILE

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Does anyone have a copy of an the Executive file for a Dynapath 40 I have the PLC and parameter files. I just can not bring myself to pay 300.00 + for a file that should be on there support web sight for free. After spending a little tine on this system I have found that they have done there best to make it user unfriendly, this way you will have tocall them when you need support.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

It's just about money

Although the motherboard for a Delta 40 control is "PC-compatible," there are many issues that have to be addressed before the motherboard will work with the DynaPath software. Motherboards with 486 processors with the proper specs are more difficult (and expensive) to procure and recently the software had to be modified to allow the replacement motherboard to work with the custom boards that make up the rest of the system.

All motherboard replacements currently sent out by DynaPath include the CNC Executive disk and the software on this disk must be loaded after the motherboard is replaced, updating the software burned into the SRAM/Flash board. The CNC Executive disk is keyed to the control and will only work in the system for which it was intended.

Who says its PC compatible????????

The definition of compatible :

4.Computers.
a.(of software) capable of being run on another computer without change.
b.(of hardware) capable of being connected to another device without the use of special equipment or software.
5.Electronics. (of a device, signal, etc.) capable of being used with equipment in a system without the need for special modification or conversion.
6.noting a system of television in which color broadcasts can be received on ordinary sets in black and white.
–noun
7.something, as a machine or piece of electronic equipment, that is designed to perform the same tasks as another, often in the same way and using virtually identical parts, programmed instructions, etc.: Software written for one computer will probably run on its close compatibles.

Well if they call that compatible they need to go back to church as stated
software is purposely designed so a layman can not work on it. Dynagarbage wants 1200.00 for a MB 300.00 for a EXE file Yet I have found a way to retrofit the machine for about 3000.00 with a newer faster and more reliable system that uses off the shelf components and is 15 year newer technology. You can not even install an an A drive or HD without there blessings, which they will be glad to do for enough money. Its no wonder the Asian community is knocking the snot out of American companies when they use business models such as these. 3 months ago I knew not the difference between a steeper or servo, closed loop or open loop. What I have learned so far is who in the industry wants to help you succeed and those that don't care one way or the other.
Sorry for the rant.
Glenn

I feel you are out of line with the name-calling.

I also don't care to argue semantics.

My understanding is that this forum is to provide useful technical information to any hobbyists that are looking for information on DynaPath controls, and I will limit my replies to such information.
