Default Expanding Memory in a Delta 40M

Hello, I have a South Bend Shipmaster (Made By Republic Lagun) with a Delta 40M Control and would like to expand the memory on it, I have posted out some G-Code and Conversation Programs from Gibbs and It will only accept about 2,000 lines of code. In Catalog mode It says I have memory for 60,000 characters, How do I expand this? Also Drip feed (Buffer with RS232C) is not enabled on my machine, How do I change that? Im pretty savvy with electronics, can I just upgrade the Sram in my computer? I would like to be able to store and run large programs with 3-D Surfacing

    Madmachinist,

Give Dynapath a call with your control build number or serial number, they may be able to tell you your control specifications and your options for larger programs.

As far as the memory board, I'll have a look at mine when I'm in the shop and see what the deal is there.

    Madmachinist,

I left you a PM with details on the memory board.

If you can get buffered input going you can drip feed directly from the control's hard disk. I just ran a 450k program that way today. I replaced my floppy with a floppy-to-USB drive conversion so I can transfer programs with a USB stick until I can get an Ethernet DNC setup in place.

cngbrick thanks for the input, I have contacted dynapath and it looks like i will have to pay them for a floppy disk and use that to update my machine to allow buffered input from my floppy drive.

I was hoping it was something I could turn on myself.

Did you get an answer on the SRAM from Dynapath (whether it will recognize if you add memory)?
