M30 "control unable to initialize communication with front panel"

I was hoping someone could help me out. I fired up my journeyman 425 with a M30 control up today and I'm getting a "control unable to initialize communication with front panel" message on the screen. Nothing works on the control. I don't have a lot of experience with M30 controls.
The machine is just something I use at our farm to make parts once in a while. Thanks for your help.
