I am new to this, my monitor was working on and off for a week or so. I sometimes had to turn on/off the machine couple of times to get the screen to come on, now nothing! I connected an SVGA lcd monitor directly to the CPU and still nothing. Changed the ISA video card, and still nothing. Changed the SVGA video cable - still nothing. Don't know what is going on. PLEASE any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike the VGA card is a Trident TVGA90001-3 ALSO, I noticed the red ESR light stays on. Not sure what that is for, but someone told me that its not supposed to stay on. |

| If both the internal CRT and an external monitor do not display a BIOS screen after power is supplied, the problem is either the motherboard/processor or the power supply. Start by checking power supply voltages to eliminate power supply problems. |

Tested power, its good! Spoke with Dynapath, and they said after the test that it is probably the motherboard. I want to make sure before I start hunting for a replacement. It is VERY expensive!!! Any other ways to test to make sure it is the motherboard? |

| Unfortunately, you can't just buy any motherboard and put it in a Delta 40 control. DynaPath itself had trouble sourcing a replacement motherboard that worked properly. They had to do fairly extensive testing to make sure the motherboard didn't "hang up." If I remember correctly, the major issue was getting the correct clock timing between devices on the motherboard and the custom circuit cards. Unfortunately, in your situation, the most efficient way to repair the control is to send the card rack in to DynaPath. If it isn't the motherboard, then the right circuit board can be replaced or repaired. You're not swapping cards, hoping to find the right one. I also know this is pretty pricy. Your only other viable (and probably less expensive) option is to find a motherboard from a Delta 40/50/60 online and hope it works. |
