Hi I'm not getting an * after a program line so it isn't in position delta 20 with servo dynamic drive control Baldor servos. I'm not having much luck getting the drives adjusted I know how to get into the TM4 screen but several people have told how to adjust lag. Some say to adjust while axis is moving. One said while axis a stationary adjusting the balance pot wont bring the lag down to zero. most are at .012 or more. how many turns should it take to get a change I can turn and turn and nothing changes. Thanks |

| Set up really depends on the machine builder, rapids, etc. You set balance at stand stil, 0 +\-1. lag is set during movement, thats where you need the builder set up. The astric I always thought meant it was in position, not out of position. If you have been turning and turning, you will probably need to pull the drive cards now and bench tune them per builders spec, then put them back in and fine tune. Sometimes they just won't tune due to bad motors or a bad tach. |
