dynapath delta 20 to fit other mill

hi everybody
maybe somebody could steer me in the right direction
i have a spare dynapath delta 20 control which i want to fit/get upgraded to suit my existing horizontal that also has a delta 20 control.
the second one would only be a swapspare but i like it more or less identical
how is it done/who would do it

sorry that i can not help.but i would like to know were you got spare control.my control has gone bad and i need to find spare boards for myself.i appreciate any help

i bought my spare on e-bay, as far as i know there is another one listed,
buying a complete control (all cards,power supply, maybe some wiring harnesses) is probably cheaper then buying a separate board.
you probably look at $1500.00 for a delta 20 control.

assuming you have the exact same hardware, what you would need to do is duplicate the parameter-eprom and the mtb (machine to builder) eprom chips located on your processor board, and then place the duplicated chips into the same sockets in your backup system.

its not all that difficult but you'd need to buy an eprom burner that can read-write to an amd 2864 eprom and some spare chips. if things went wrong or got damaged during the process, you could potentially create a very large mess for yourself that might not be recoverable without a copy of the source code for the mtb eprom.

dynapath or parts and smarts could take care of this job for you i'm sure.

i think i will talk with dynapath if they can burn the e-proms or not.
i do not want to ship the spare and working control out and have no machine.
(use it every day for a few hours)
