Hello Everyone,
I am posting to see if anyone has an idea of what my problem may be.
first let me tell you what machine I have.
It is a Dynacnc 4X4 Plasma/Router. It is running CandCNC controls naturally with
the MP1000 and THC.
Even though I have had the machine for 6 years now I have never ran any router
toolpath other that with my plasma torch hanging in the air.
I am working on new billet alum brackets that will allow me to swap between the
plasma and router surfaces quickly and then I will probably be doing alot of
routing.
Now with that said here is what I have been experiencing for the past 6 months
or so.
When I first fire my machine up to start making cuts my machine will come to a
stop in the middle of first cuts..Mach 3 will show the reset button flashing. I
have to rewind the program and reset Mach 3, move to a new location and rezero.
Today I had to do this twice before it would start running the entire part
(which were nothing but some 3.5 inch circles). On many occasions I have had to
reset it 4 or 5 times before I had any success. Simply it seems like either the
controls, sensor card, or PC has to warm up a bit before it feels like it is
ready to run. I have an older PC on it that a friend put together for me just to
run the machine. It is stripped down and has nothing but Mach 3 on it. I think
it only has a 1g processor and 512M RAM. Im not sure if it is enough but this
problem has not always been there and has ran just fine.
Now.. could this be something in the sensor card telling it that it isnt firing
and sending some type of fault back to Mach?
Is the computer getting tooooooo old and just cant keep up?(not sure since it
will eventually start working ok)
Is there a problem in Mach??

Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated..
Thank you
Kelly (Mr)
