Have you called Roberto at Dyna Mechtronics. They have a few parts but only a few.
Hi all,
Being the new owner of a DM2400, I have the need to replace the screw protection bellows. I have been supprised to be unable to find any information concerning these. Someone besides me has to have had this problem.
Any suggestions?
Bo

Thanks for the reply,
Yes, actually Roberto did reply, for which I was grateful.
They do have them. That's the good part. If I understand him correctly (and I have sent him a request to confirm) they are $80 each. That's $480 just for the bellows on all the three screws. If I misunderstood him, I will gladly correct myself here.
I have actually found a good price on custom made ones... if I want to buy 250. :-)
Still searching for a good solution.

I didnt say they would be cheap! If you do buy the ones from DM they will most likely be old new stock. Probably dry rotted by this time. Enjoy the machine.
It's bugged me for ages how the cheap Chinese machines all come with metres of the stuff, but I haven't been able to source similar bellows anywhere over here that even approaches a semi reasonable price! They seem very hard to get?
cheers,
Ian
It's rumoured that everytime someone buys a TB6560 based board, an engineer cries!
Probably not what you'd consider cheap, but you can get anythign you need from these guys: Bellows | Rubber Bellow | Way Covers | Machine Bellows | Gortite | A&A Family

I have looked around there a bit. Has anyone used one of their bellows on a DM2400 and if so, which one?
I can't be the only one that has a Dyna that had the bellows return to their primordial condition. (goo, actually).
I have some marine bellows coming and have even considered making a mold and trying to cast some.
Sorry, I just can't stomach $320 for 4.

Here is a few pictures of some home made bellows I made. They are made from ripstop nylon coated with polyurathane. the stiffeners are also custom made . the cost in materals is about $10.00 to $15.00
I have been thinking about making a u-tube how to vidieo, I will post i here when i finish it.
I have seen these on lathes, I have no idea how much they cost though: Spiroflex Products - constant force springs, extension springs, motor springs, ebrw springs, www.spiroflex.com (see the Lead Screw Guards section)

Well, I have had at least some progress on the bellows issue.
I got a bellows used for the steering cable on an outboard motor and I am modifying the mounts to accomodate the ends.
So far, I have had to spin some adapters on the lathe. I have a bit more to do, but it looks promising. I will share the details after I figure out if it will actually work.
