Have a Clausing Mill with Delta 20 control. Programmed last week and ran just fine. I turn the power off when we are not using the machine. Powered up, ref axis and got Z limit travel fault. Cleared the fault and didn't think much of it. Wrote a program, set up a part, set up X zero and Y zero, hit Start and mach took off in x+ and y+ til y limit faulted. Powered control down and tried again, same result. Opened cover on z limit and had a broken wire but making contact. Fixed wire, still got z limit fault. Mach would zero on z ref but give a z+ limit fault. Checked z high limit travel set up and it was set to 0.0000. Changed it to .0100 and z limit fault went away. (Maybe machine was not completing the axis ref routine I surmized). Powered down and ref axis, no fault. Call up program with a x,y position and z axis takes off in z+ until limit faults. The x,y take off doesn't happen now, but now its z. When I ref mach all axis indicate true positon. I Home mach and all axis go to true position. I called up program I did last week and I get the same results, z+ takes off. I am guessing I have a ref issue. Any thoughts? The mach has lost its mind before and we just power it down. I did go through the cabinet and push on all connectors and boards.
Thanks,
