Sorry, should have read the first post, 386 or 486.
How do you tell if you have a 3000 or 3000H?
    Cheers

The 3000H is the larger of the two. The 3000 is the bench top model. The stand is part of the 3000H.

Looks like the 3000 weighs about 550 lbs whereas the 3000H is over 1000.

Sorry, I got distracted from it after the holidays, and since then my partner in the machine and I decided to convert it after all. If you still need a bobcad post then I suggest going to bobcad for it, as far as the fusion post, I think it's pretty good but fusion doesn't have any way to use our canned cycles. It seems to be more for g70-g73 canned cycles but ours more resemble pure facing and turning cycles. I wanted to help out with the bobcad end of things but I'm just too involved in other things right now.

It's a msDOS executable. I know there are many pages and different topics from post processors to cables to serial ports but read through this thread. I was able to run the file in a DOS emulator called DOSbox complete with serial communication, I was able to write a messy qbasic program that is in my manual and compile that into exe and run on a modern PC in a cmd screen(don't recommend this, the program isn't well written) and I was also able to send the file with an open source free dnc program called edytornc. Predator editor should also be configurable for this. The 386/486 PC is what dynacom.exe is designed for and it would be an easy solution but there are several solutions in this thread that don't require you to buy another antiquated dusty machine. To send files to and from the Dyna machine.

    Thanks danxj7x,
I'll try and get my head around what you have written and setup communication with the 3000.
I have it running with the original software and running very well, it would be better if I could use a screen instead of one line at a time.
Roberto has helped me a lot by answering my questions, and, like I said, it is now running very well, and holding sizes extremely well.

    Regards
    Phil

I see this thread is getting pretty dated but if anyone can share a working link to dynacom.exe that would be great. The dropbox link earlier in this post is no longer working.

if i get a copy of the program i'd offer up a package with it and either a dos emulator of virtual machine that could be run on an average modern computer with minimal setup.
    Hi,
I have it running on Windows XP, with a lot of help from a friend that knows his way around computers.

Is the dynacom software available somewhere?

I am mostly interested in how to do a bulk dump on EM-3116, does the software offer the possibility?
