Help With Rhino DXF Opening in DCam

So I know how to use Rhino well so I prefer to draw in that, but when I try to import into Dolphin CAM it doesn't show some of the curves I've drawn. It shows lines and circles that have been cut, but not line made by free form in Rhino. Can anyone help with the importing or exporting from Rhino or how I should draw it in Rhino so I can get it to import correctly into CAM for lathe work? Thanks.

    Hi there,

Were the curves arcs or polylines/splines? Just had that same problem myself, Dolphin doesn't seem to like curves that aren't plain ol' arcs...

    Regards,

    Jason

Ok, sorry - I see the 'free form curves' part now! I'd suggest that might be the problem?

Change your export options to export as arcs/polylines, and try saving as v12.

Ger, My Durango is only V8, don't see why that makes a difference? LOL, I know stupid.

I'll see if I can do that but when I save as dxf or export as dxf it doesn't give me cany options, but I'll look into it.

I don't have rhino installed here, but I have used it in the past, and there are a ton of .dxf export options. Sorry, but I can't direct you to them.

I still didn't find an option box or anything in Rhino for DXF or export settings, it's probably lines you have to type in the command window. Doesn't matter I found some stuff on how to do it. One way was to click on the curve and click convert to arcs. That worked. Thanks for the help.
