NEEDED-Anilam Crusader M Postproccesor

Is there a Dolphin Partmaster 3 user that has had a post proccesor set up for use with an Anilam Crusader M controller for a mill?

Thanks,
Kevin

There is an Anilam Crusader Post already created inside of Dolphin...

Once opening the Partmaster Post Processor, look for M_Crus2M.PPR

That is for a crusader.

Try that.

There is no M_Crus2m.ppr

If I go into the post proccessor, there is only 9 proccessors on my list.

L1M_Fanuc.ppr
L1M_foamlinxmach.ppr
L1M_Mach2.ppr
L1M_Mach3.ppr
L1M_MAXNC.PPR
L1M_MaxNCI.PPR
L1M_Heidenhain.ppr
L1M_Micro.ppr
L1M_MicroI.ppr

I'm not sure if I'm looking in the correct place or not, but if I go into the "NC" in CAD & click on properties, these are the only proccessors listed there.

The Anilam Crusader M does not read the tyipcal G code
eg: G02 x3.333y4.444I0J-.500...
The Crusader M would read;
ARC CW
x0y-.5 FI
x3.333y4.444
ARC CW

At least in a manual programming scenario, this is how the code would read. I don't know for sure, but I believe the Crusader 2 actually reads more of a typical G code.

Please be nice, I am a newbe & this is my first attempt to send a code to a post proccessor (this is a disclaimer that comes in useful for either stupid or inexperienced people).

Thanks,
Kevin

Yes that is the wrong place. When a customer buys Level 1 he doesnt get no CAM side. He just has a few posts built into the CAD side. That is what you are viewing.

You can check this a few ways. 2 ways I'll give you.

1) Partmaster Post Processor should have created an icon on your desktop or where ever you saved it. Open it that way. Once you opened it, go to file, open.... Look for it there.

2) Alternatively, go to "My Computer" / "C Drive" / "Program Files" / "Dolphin Cad Cam" / "Partmaster" / "Application Data".

This should help!

CRUS_2M.ppr will not output G-code like you think you need. This is not a problem as the Crusader M controller will make the changes. If you get crop circles, let me know. Through a lot of reading and trial and error, I've managed (I think) to get a good post processor for the M controller. My machine has problems at the moment with the Kurtauto drawbar and more experimentation has been on hold as I rework the drawbar parts.

The last run of G-code with my modified post made good code, albeit it doesn't have the Arc CCW, etc of what you expect to see. Again, not a problem as the M will use standard (for Anilam of the period) G-code. The Anilam 1400 post however will NOT work at all with the M.

Thanks for the input. I found the crus2m.ppr (now I just need to know what to do with it :-)).

Mr. Wild, thanks for letting me know what to expect. I would have been a little concerned to read the gcode if it looks different than what I'm used to. I'll keep you posted on my development.

I'm sooo excited! This is my first new toy since... My CNC Mill!!!
