Precision Text and Simple Fonts

I have really been enjoying using Dolphin for the last couple weeks. This is the first real cad software I have used but it is definitely friendly. My biggest learning curve so far has really only been getting acquainted with CAD concepts in general.

Anyway, my question is about the precision text. For some reason, when I create precision text and I select the 'simple font' checkbox, if I select the cp850pro.pfnt font - it throws an error and exits out of Dolphin completely. It happened the first time because I was just using the arrow keys to scroll through the list. I avoid it now but is there a way to fix it - delete that file maybe?

Maybe just change the file extension from .pfnt to .dat or some other extension(.txt), that way you can always put it back the way it was and use the font if needed some time.

Use CP860 instead, it's essentially the same font as 850.

We added a 2 new stroke fonts recently - Arial and Lucida Script, they are both created using splines and look and machine much smoother than the old CP range of fonts.

They can also be manipulated better, goto the Text gallery in the top most toolbar and create a new text style, then double the newly created entry and click modify, change the parameters then save the new font away.
