Saving Tool Tables

Well, I'm starting to get the hang of this.

Each time I go to cam something I have to start making the tools all over again.

Is there some way to once and for all save a tool table and just use it?

Hi Smitty,
You should be able to save the tools that are defined and give it a name so that each time you load your CAM program you can load that tool file. You can also set the preferences to load the toolfile automatically when the CAM program is loaded with several options of how to load. In CAM click View, then Preferences, then Options tab and select the option you prefer. You can also load the machine setup thru preferences in much the same way.
Regards,

Yes,
there are a couple of options.

In the Setup menu you have "Load Setup" and "Save Setup", these can be used to save the current machine setup (Tool change, Safe position etc) plus the current tooling to a .cfg file. When stating a new job simply select "Load Setup" and you have your tools and machine setup done for you.

Alternately from the View menu, select Preferences. Open the "Options" tab. Here you can select automatic saving and load toolfiles and machine setups.

I cannot find these menus. I have the Intermediate version loaded if that makes a difference.

Smitty...did you find these in Setup?

I only have these choices across the top in the CAM portion of the program:

File Edit View Execute Window Help

I looked in the toolbars to see if there was something I could activate to turn on the rest of them and I could not find anything.

BrassBuilder.. The reason it is only showing you limited options is because of Level 2. Level 3 unlocks all them for you.
