Comparing Dolphin to Vectric

I'm very near pulling the trigger on a CAM app. I have seen and used the demo product from Vectric but I'm also looking at what Dolphin can do. I do not need a CAD program, however some simple CAD functionality would not hurt. I have a DIY machine, frame 8020 with a mix of .75" Ali run by Mach3. I like doing reliefs, V-carvings and some 2D stuff.
How does Dolphin compare to V-Carve Pro and Cut3D for tool paths and features?
Lastly I run Win7 64 bit, will Dolphin work on my OS?

Dolphin is a very nice program, I strongly recommend it. I've used Cut2d in the past, never Cut3D. I use it in conjunction with Mach3 on Windows 7 with a dongle.

Reliefs, V-carvings and some 2d stuff? Not sure if Dolphin is what will make you happiest. I love Dolphin and use it daily for a CNC machining business. Engraving is possible but complicated, reliefs are possible but not 3d ones, but it's bang on the money for 2D stuff.

On a hobby machine where you are more interested in doing "cool stuff" rather then serious engineering work I'd probably lean towards V-Carve? I don't own this yet, but I'd like to buy it for the V-Carving feature alone.
