I am trying to do some engraving using my 4th axis but can't quite get it to work right. The cam program is short - select tool, rotary on (a/y inputting the proper radius of my work piece), go around text, rotary off. I am using the rotary post processer to generate the mach3 code but when it goes to cut, the text is upside down and reversed. I tried moving the text around to various quadrants to see if that was the reason but no matter where I create the text, using the rotary axis (A/Y) causes it to do this. |

| A/Y ?? What orientation is your 4th axis ? I have mine pointing down the bed which then means I use A / X Try using the Mach3_inc post processor, this will support 4th axis and let us know how that works out. John S. |

| Sorry, I meant a/x. It runs along the x axis and I want it to rotate instead of moving the Y. Right now when I run the program the letters go left to right but they are upside down. I was thinking about it last night and I wondered if maybe my rotation direction in ports/pins was opposite of what it should be. I have used the rotary a lot but never anything that would have mattered if the direction was swapped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
