4th Axis - Machining from inside out?

I have a simple goround but Dolphin CAM seems to get confused when there are arcs involved. The same profile with 90 degree corners and it works fine but once the fillets are added it seems to invert the profile like it’s trying to machine the arcs from the inside. Any thoughts? I have worked around this in the past by making the arcs their own profiles and running them as a separate step but it seems like this is extra work that should not be necessary.

This happens because of the Feed change plane value.

With Z zero where you have it, the Feed change plane of .1181 above the zero is not large enough to clear the top part of the job.

Set the Feed Change Plane to say 0.5" and it works OK.

Thank you André. That was probably the only setting I did not try to tweak sorting through this!

One more question with regard to zero André. I set the datum in CAD and save the drawing, as soon as I go to CAM it puts the Z Zero in the center of the drawing where you see it. Any reason it does not hold the zero datum from CAD to CAM?

Scratch that. I now see you have to have the datum set on a contour or it will not hold when you go to CAM.
