As far as i know, Dolphin doesn't have any function to figure out the volume of objects drawn. Anyone know a program i can get/purchase to figure out this information for my drawings? Hopefully a cheap program because this is all i want from it at this time. Thanks, Tony |

| PartMaster has a Static Cacls module that gives you things like perimeter, area (volume) etc. It uses the Hatch routine but comes up with a bunch of numbers instead of cross-hatching. To use this choose Hatch and from the options toolbar select "Static Calcs". The area must be enclosed, the hatch routine works in very similar manner to creating a contour eg, trace around the periphery. When the hatch boundary has been enclosed it asks about islands, if there are any then trace round them, if not hit click No. The results will be shown on screen - quite a lot of numbers. The actual details are held in a file called Calc.txt - saved in the Documents folder. This can be incorperated into the drawing using Text > Import file. Hope this clear. ATB André |
