I installed a plugin (Jcode.m3p) into my Mach3, so that I'm able to trace around an existing part with my mill. The file output is a .tap file. How can I import this into Dolphin cam so that I may be able to modify it? What I'm basically trying to do is copy an existing contour of a part (motorcycle chaincase cover ). the part is too complicated to just measure and then draw it it Dolphin cad. Thanks |

| You can't. The .tap file is already in G code format and that cannot be read in. You need a back plotting program that can read code and output to DXF NCPlot V2 is such a program but it's not free. there is a free version but the web site seems to be down. If you want to zip your tap file and post it here I can backplot it for you and send the DXF back. John s. |
