    DCAM error message

I start DCAD, new drawing, lay out a box, create a CNC contour, and select Machining | Milling module, which brings up DCAM, showing the single contour.

In DCAM I attempt to File | Import

A message dialog box is presented. It presents "Class not registered" with an OK box.

"PartMaster CAD is not installed (or has never been run) on this system.
Please run PartMaster CAD before trying again. You may need to re-install the software."

So a couple of questions form.

Why is some "Class not registered."?

Why the message "PartMaster CAD is not installed..."?

Exactly what is the purpose of File | Import on DCAM?

    Thanks in advance.

We have had this message appear a few times in the past, it's proving very difficult to track down as only seems to happen on isolated PC's.

We are still trying to fix it however.

The Import function is very rarely used, it's main job is to import a PartMaster drawing that contains Contours/Profiles, or a DXF file.

It was implemented to allow very old format Dolphin Cad (DOS) drawings and cnc programs to be used.

    Regards

    Andre

What is the solution to this issue? I just got Dolphin Partmaster installed and have been fighting it for two days. Every issue I've had so far has been covered in the first two pages of this forum, and it seems like I've had every issue. Am I just unlucky or do I need to pursue a refund on this software immediately?

When I create a drawing in CAD, create the contours, and click on milling to get to CAM, it displays the two error messages. The software is totally glitchy in many other ways so I thought this might be a possible cause.
