Hello! I am going to UNI next year and am buying a new laptop. The last thing i need to do before buying the laptop is decide 32 bit or 64 bit windows 7. I have heard things have changed a bit and 64 bit is a bit more compatible now with simpler software. Would Dolphin partmaster pro work on a 64 bit machine? best regards, Reed Teyber edit: i do know its not 64 bit software, but im asking if i will be able to just use the software with 64 bit windows |

| Reed, I bought a 64 Dell XPS laptop two years ago and have found several things that won't run on the 64 bit system.....What a pain.... and the worst thing is there is no noticeable performance gain with the 64 bit. If you can still buy a 32 bit laptop I would say go for it. Get the 64 bit next time. Best regards. Mike. |

| Get 64-Bit. If it isn't compatible with a specific program, you get a free XP Virtual Machine in the Pro version of Win7 (so make sure you get Pro, NOT Home). You can run programs in the virtual machine transparently from the desktop of Win7. VERY well executed by MicroSoft, for once! |

1 more Plus: All software is going that way. In a few years, 32-bit software may not be launched for newer software. |
