In partmaster CAM, what would be the best way to go about programming toolpaths, for adding a simple "tool based" profile, to the wall of a pocket. By "tool based" I'm referring to a tool where the business end has a larger radius of some sort(ball, t-slot cutter, etc.), than the rest of the shank. Basically what I need to know is, "how do I avoid having to manually convert all of the lead ins and lead outs in my gcode from Z to XY, just to put an indention on the inside or outside of a milled contour?". I'm no machinist, just an electronics guy who put together a CNC machine, so hopefully this has a quite simple solution or method. Only takes one missed lead in/out(by me) to screw up a nice piece of work. Thanks All |
