Default Just wondering before making a purchase.

I know for most folks this wouldn't matter, but I need to know.
I'm building a fairly heavy machine and plan on selling it once complete, but I want to keep it mostly made with home grown products ie: North American.

I tried emailing DMM this question, but didn't get a reply.

Are the AC servo motors and drives truly Made in Canada as the label says, or are they just restickered China motors?

I'm not trying to start anything negative here, just need peace of mind.

    Thanks in advance.

This is a good question some of the parts that make up their system are made/manufactured in Canada, They Design & manufacture of their Prototypes are made in Canada & the USA, The main manufacturing is done at their own Factory in China, all of the electronics cpu's etc are all sourced in the USA & Canada, the labels that read made in Canada are the components that are made there, the other parts of their system just have their company DMM logo on, there has been talk about manufacturing their Servo Drives in the USA, I believe this will happen next year

What they sell is totally their own Design & Manufacture, it is not someone elses with their label on

As for a reply to your email, I'm sure they will answer, I know that they are traveling at this time, so they may not always be able to reply straight away

Ok Mactec54, excellent. This answered my question, and I can now go ahead with putting an order in. It would be great if they could get their manufacturing back here or the USA, and I would be willing to shell out the extra $100 per axis or so. Just trying to keep my machine Made in North America.
To me, it matters, mostly because the manufacturing standards and CSA or UL listed products follow stringent safety protocols.

Definitely a challenge, but I have most of it figured out.
Some reputable parts are only available 'made in France, or Germany, which is fine.

It however adds to total costs.

    Congratulations.
    You've accomplished a lot in a year.
The site looks good, but still a few grammatical errors.

I'm interested in what lubrication system you are using. (No mention of it on site).

All in all , good job.

    I'm happy for you.
