The stepper wire may help more interference to the outside world via tha mains cable but should be of no detriment to normal operation.![]()
In building my router (see below link), i have thusfar not properly mounted my router's power wire, and i was considering running it with the stepper motor wire (actually having the stepper motor wire wrapped around the thicker router wire in a loose spiral).
Has anyone had experience with this or had issues with the flux field generated by the router's wire inducing currents in the stepper wire???
Thanks,

Super X3. 3600rpm. Sheridan 6"x24" Lathe + more. Three ways to fix things: The right way, the other way, and maybe your way, which is possibly a faster wrong way.
Should not be an issue. The only area of wiring that can cause you headaches from crosstalk will be the home and limit switches. I've never encountered this either and I an my power, stepper, and limit switch wires bundled all together. My limit switch wires were simple speaker wire...still no issues.
