Have you looked at http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/
I did a search but found no v groove but lots of other bearing models that would be easy to convert to v groove.

I have been trying to design a DIy CNC and working with sketchup to do it. Im having a bear of time trying to draw a decent V-bearing. Has anyone done this or know where I can download a sketchup model of a V-bearing? Mine look like something a 3rd grader drew!!
Thanks!!

As long as it is to scale why bother about the looks? But you want to use the follow me tool if you haven't already.
Sketchups biggest downfall is curves though. I still love the program and use it religiously. If you want to give me the specs or a link to the bearings you plan on useing, I'll give it a go. I should be able to give you something you shouldn't be embarrassed by![]()
Here is one that I drew in TurboCad 16 but save it as AutoCad 2004 Dxf. I don't think the materials and rending will save so you will have to do them in your cad.I have been trying to design a DIy CNC and working with sketchup to do it.
