Dear All,
I plan to build desktop cnc. I choose leadscrew for 3 axis but between Acme leadscrew or Trapezoid leadscrew is better?
Thank.

They are one in the same with regard to the shape and profile of the thread.
The English measured thread is called "acme", see page 1557 of Machinery's Handbook #23.
I don't know where the name "Trapezoidal" comes from, unless maybe that is what the metric countries call it.
The shape, profile, and operation is the same.

ACME is imperial measurements and measured in TPI, whereas trapezoidal is metric and pitch measured in mm.
Looking at the following, they both have the same strength characteristics per pitch...

ACME also has a 29 degrees thread angle, trapezoidal 30 degrees.
