I have successfully used this speed control board from CNC4C:

Spindle is the 1.5KW model with the matching Huanyang VFD.
Hope this helps.
Hey all, I purchased one of the Huanyang VFD and spindles from ebay. Its being shipped right now.
I am using the James Cullins/Bob Campbell Breakout board plus. I am wondering how I can control this VFD from Mach3. I asked Bob Campbell and he suggests I chat with James Cullins. I see on his site he has a serial port adapter.
Has anyone tried this? Are there other options?
thanks!

These VFDs also support Modbus so I think that technically you don't need any extra hardware apart from a RS232 to RS485 converter.
I've not tried it yet, mind.
Hi There - me and a friend here in India have the Jim Cullin's serial board - we bought it specially to save some pins on the pp. i am on the way to installation - my friend has already installed it -
one down thing to it is the documentation- which lacks a lot and Jim has to put some effort there to support the good product he sells.
though his support is just wonderful through email - we never felt left out over the long distance - US to India
if you have enough pins left on your PP you can go in for the cnc4pc.com board which is much cheaper. but I bet Jim's product is a very good quality as it also has its own on board power supply.
