Ok I know, I know this question needs to be in the Autocad forum, but you guys have been the most helpful on helping me build me JGRO. I am planning for my next design. So please do not flame me for the question. I have a Autocad file that has several parts on it that need to be cut out. Can I lets say crop some parts since my Jgro is to small to cut the whole file out. Can I make several folders with parts in it and take that to the cam and then gcode to cut the parts out. Easier way of understanding it. parts on 4'x8' design only have 20"x48" cutting area. If I can divide up the parts I can cut it out.
Thanks
If I understand your question correctly, yes you can copy parts by selecting the part(s) you need to cut and pasting it into another open CAD window. I find it a little easier to copy, paste, and rename the file, then open the file and delete the parts I don't want in the file and save it. The advantage of the second method is that the drawing settings are kept consistent. If you copy and paste into a new drawing you may end up with different drawing settings.
