Wow, nice job! And might I add you've got a nice looking shop there too. Pictures hanging on the walls?? You kicked the TV out of the living room and took it over didn't you?

I've been working on this thing for over a year. Haven't checked it for .001 accuracy yet, but it seems to be very accurate - using a good square and the old eyeball. Everything can and needs to be adjusted to .001 or better but little things I've cut all check out square and VERY flat!! I'm using 2 4-axis HOBBYCNC boards driven through a CNC4PC board from Mach 3. This setup lets me use two 305 oz-in motors on the "X" to keep the gantry from racking without resorting to slaving axes together. It's got a full compliment of home and limit switches, runs 120 ipm and, so far, it's smooth as silk. The extra driver channels are going to run A and B axis drives when I get them built. Being an old airplane electrician, I'm a little possessed about wiring being neat. The control wiring is almost all hidden inside the frame and I'm working on getting the lower wiring under control. The router, vac and lighting (under the router mount) are all controlled by Mach's spindle control using relays. Working pretty good so far!!
