When i use one power supply (24v @ 8a switching power supply) The motors dont make any noise when they are moving or sitting still. But, when I use a different power supply (32v @ 0-10a probably switching too, dont know) the motors humm and whine when sitting or moving. Is this normal or not?
The one turning the spindle should cause a noise. Noise = $$Should my motors make noise?
I've had an old mill with Bandit cnc that used to make a rather irritating high-pitched whine from some relatively low khz switching supplies. So you may have to compare the switching frequencies of the two supplies.
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.
