    Cnc Motor Drivers

    Dear Group,

I am new to this forum so please excuse me if this is in th wrong place. I have a cnc plasma cutter with Flashcutcnc Controls. I am about half way finished with a wood router that I'm building from scratch. On this unit I'll use the Xylotex Drivers.

My future plans are to build my own drivers. For thirty uyears I have loved the 2N3055 transistor. I have used it in audio circuits. I want to build a driver that will handle some 6 or 8 amps at 30 volts. I found a simple schematic at
http://www.aaroncake.net/circuits/stepper.htm but there is no current regulation to it. If anyone has a schematic for a driver circuit of this description (with current regulation), I'd certainly appreciate a copy. It does not have to use the 2N3055. If you could email me at ashuford@cp-tel.net, I be greatfull.
