    New to CNC

I have been reading threads for the last couple days getting familiar with CNC. I picked up a couple of 200 oz steppers at a industrial surplus yard to play around with. I am working on learning the electronics part, the machine stuff seems simple enough.

Ideally would like to build a 4x8 router table but want to crawl before running.

What size router table should I be capable of running with these?

They are Superior Electric Slo-Syn motors. Type M092-FD09

Since I plan to upgrade latter what size drivers and power supply is recommended?

    Thanks,
    Rick

    Rick,

I started with these same motors. There's a thread on here with a picture and description of my first CNC. My advice to you is that in the long run you will learn more and have a great machine when your done if you build one of these - www.mechmate.com. There is plenty of documentation and help on that site.

    Good luck,

    CapnC
