This one uses 1" wide belts. http://www.axxustech.com/Axxus4x8/axxus_4x8.htm
Hope you guys can help.
For my X Axis I will be using a belt drive system the is to be geared down from 1 to 24 through 2 stages. The first is from the motor to pulley (1 to 4 reduction) and the pulleys will be set on a 25mm shaft that runs through the gantry.
Second reduction 1 to 6.
The motor is a 880oz Servo.
I am trying to work out the recommended belt width to ensure that it is sufficient strenght. Do I use 10mm, 15mm or larger. Pitch will be around 5mm.
Other things... 8 * 4 table and cutting plywood etc...
Thanks
Frans

Hello Ger.. thanks for your reply...
I have seen that one..
I intend to use the 25mm for that part of the drive, however I am talking about the belts from the motor pulleys to the drive pulley. 25mm would be an overkill on them I think.
cheers
I think the 10 would be fine. What type of belt do you plan on using (toothform)?
