Hello everyone,
I am quite new to the cnc scene, so please forgive ignorance, I want a small desktop size cnc, but I don't know if I should build one or I should buy. the thing is cause am newer do you think I should make my own one or do you think I should buy one, in any case please point me in the right direction of how I should make or buy one.

my budget is around £1000 and I would like to build a 3-d cnc because I would be design prototypes of products of all kinds of shape.
My thoughts on building your own machine
Pros
- Less expensive
- Know your machine intimately
- Designed to do exactly what you want
Cons
- Success depends on your skill and experience
- Could take longer
- It could blow up in your face
You've got to determine a comfortable risk/benefit ratio for yourself. If possible, building your own will just elevate mankinds' IQ as a whole.
"I've got a long way to go and a short time to get there, We're gonna do what they say can't be done."
Thanks for replying, I am thinking of buying cause I don't have the time to build one, do you know of any good desktop machine, I would it:
1. Must cut 3d
2. must be accurate
3.cnc cutting area around 60 cm by 45 cm
4. My budget is £1200 ($2400)
I would like to buy one but I would pay to have someone build one for me.
And by the way can I use a cnc from the U.S in the U.K.
