I'm a nOOb looking for a router design

I am looking for a free design of arouter that will take a full 4x8 sheet of plywood. From looking around I don't think there are any plans for that on this part of the site. Please correct me if I am wrong.

    thanks

I've never seen any free plans for a 4x8 router.

whats the biggest free plans you have seen? Maybe I could modify the plans to be larger. Is 4x8' cnc router common?

    thanks

Joes2006 is the Largest quality open source design I have seen. The larger your cutting area the more issues you are going to have with tolerances. What do you plan on cutting with your table and how much accuracy do you require?

It would serve you well to spend some time going through this forum learning about different designs before you build anything.

btw, 8' x 4' cutting area is huge meaning harder to build and much more expensive. Much.

Mechmate has been around for quite a while.

Comprehensive plans along with excellent support. All for free.

I am surprised that people are not aware of it.

Joe's 4x4 is even larger, but the mechmate.com machine is the largest I've seen. It's a weld together machine and requires a bit of experience but it is an excellent design and has a large support base for it.
