Suggestion for my next pcb mill

    Greetings

Well it had to happen, 1 curious cat+1 large coffee+1 desktop mill startling the cat = magic smoke.

Time to rebuild a new Desktop router/pcb mill.

New HobbyCnC driver board is here.

I'd like to build something different, my original was a HobbyCNC plan, my second was a mish-mash of different ideas that managed to work. Bulky and not pretty to look at.

In the end I primarily used my router as a desktop PCB Mill.

I dont make my circuit boards larger than 8"x8" and my Z-Axis requires no more than 3/4" of travel.

Does anyone has any suggestions on a set of plans closer to what I want?

X-Y travel no greater than 8"
Z travel no greater than 3/4"

Small enough to actually sit on a desktop perhaps inside an old scanner case?

    Cheers
    Steve

I'd suggest buying one of Widgetmasters mini or Midi (what ever he is making now) that fits your size requirements.. and fit what ever motors and such you like/want to it.

Sure it would be well worth the $$$. And it would be the best thing ever.

    b/
