Some basic questions about (DIY) cnc

    Hi all!

How is the material fastened to the surface board ? (clamps ?)

How its assured that cutting tool does not scratch the cutting surface board ? Are some kind of spacers used ?

What kind(specs) of step motors should I buy if machine is going to be used for cutting aluminium, plexi and wood (up to 5 cm thickness), what kind of router ?

Does using bigger/stronger motors/router decreases accuracy (eg. can the same machine be used to make el. guitar body and PCB)?

Where can i find ABC of (DIY) CNC ?

    thanx

    1. Clamps, screws, could also be vacuum clamp/table

    2. I guess thats why its called spoil board, it can take slight hits, than you resurface it.

    3. I'll let some one else answer that
