building CNC for lost wax, foam

Hi, I am gathering information on building my own cnc mill/router. I have already gathered a RhinoRobotics XR3 and a Mark 3 controller. After making the serial cable as per the Rhino site the robotic arm seems to function properly, except that my robot is missing one motor. At some time in its life it has been dropped and damaged, robot structure is bent. I would like to build some thing in a gantry style. Any ideas, questions?

    lost wax casting

I have just finished making my gantry style cnc machine for lost wax casting.
I have to attach the spindle router that came yesterday then start cutting wax.
I used the basic information for the rockcliff router then as I learnt more upgraded parts to get better performance. However the end result has not been cheap.
The main thing I have learnt is that machine performance is directly proportional to cost.
    Good luck.

    No Stupid questions

Shashank, there are no stupid (dumb) questions but I have made many a stupid mistake for fear of appearing dumb. The robot is no more. I have stripped it of 3 working motors. ( Brevel mod. 713). I will have to experiment with the controller (8 channel Mark 3 from Rhino robotics[these guys are not very helpful and are very expensive]). I have already made a working serial cable from my PC to the controller.
    Thanks,
    Ken
