Stop talking about it and do it already!!!!!

(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)

Question I too just got my PracticalCNC up!

I too just got the practicle CNC table running. Im still trying to learn the software. The book is a short on information. Like sequencing multiple shapes, and start points. Again I said I "JUST" got the machine up and running. I am importing DXF's from autoCAD. My Bobcam package got back ordered, maybe thats the key to it all, until it gets here I don't know.

    Angry

The software that comes with the Practicalcnc is VCarve Pro
I ordered a machine from them on 6-11-08 and received it on 8-06-08. I am still waiting for the assembly disk. Customer service is really bad. Owner won't even return phone calls.

That's more than I got. This owner is a thief. We paid for our machine in full and then they put the closed sign up after they got our second check. This wimpy little man, Joe Rathbun, would not even talk to us.So to summarize the manishonest, deceptive, cowardly, inept, unreliable, irresponsible, shallow, etc.

    Practical

Just wondering if you are getting anywhere with the company that bought them out? Precision Automated Equip???
They have helped us so far but I think now they are being bombarded with complaints from Practical they can't keep up.
Been trying to get hold of the tech dept for 3 days won't return calls or answer e-mails.
    Good luck to you???

No. I spoke with the new owner, who, understandably, tried to distance himself from them; however , he was one of their principle investors and he also hired the saleman that led me down the primrose path.
My point is, that they knew what was going on. Precision aquired the remaining assets while I was trying to get my machine or my money back. This all happened within a thirty day period.
He offered to sell me my machine for an additional 10 to 15 k because he said mine had been cannibalized.

You should have some recourse with the new company.
I know that anything else I buy will be though credit card. I believe we just got ours in the nick of time before they went under.

Precision Automated Equip, anyone have contact info?
We bought both plasma, and router from practical.
good machine for the money, Joe is a slime ball (obviously I am not the first to state this here)

would just be nice to know where to get parts from if we need them
or if I should look into a conversion/retrofit of some sort

    thanks in advance
