CNC part listing , estimating costs

    Hello all.
Being a total n00b on the CNC front, I wish someone would walk me thru the basic electronic components for a small router table design.

So far I have been reading quite alot of postings here and visited alot of websites that offer driver boards and steppers/servos and I wish to establish a feasible design for me to go forward and begin its building process.

So I think of 3 axis system using aprox 200 ozins bipolar steppers.

Then I will need a driver board, I think a Xylotex 3axis because I am on a budget and getting 3 Gecko's 201/210 is more money.

Then I need a power supply, what Volt Amper ratings do I need for 200ozin's ?

    Cables, enclosure what is missing?

If you buy the Xylotex, all you'll need to add is a 24V, 6-8amp power supply, and motor cables. There are some good motors on Ebay right now, here:

Maybe a bit pricey, but these don't turn up too often.

The Xylotex comes with a parallel cable to plug into your computers parallel port, and a small cable to get 5V to power the board from a spare hard drive connector in your computer. Like you said, just put it in an enclosure, wire it up, plug it in and turn it on. The Xylotex is about as close to "plug and play" as you can get.
