Laminated Beam

Hi,

Working on my next router. I was going to build David Steele's larger router using my Z axis build from his plans.

I was not sure a 2" X 4" gantry beam would work well with my Z axis so I decided to build a new beam.

I laminated a 2" X 2" aluminum channel to 3/4" fir. I sanded the aluminum, cleaned off any oil and glued with epoxy.

I will use the same rail system David shows in his plans.

There is a picture of my old router table that I will use parts off it for my new machine.
