cnc alarm help needed

I am translating a cnc alarm manual into turkish. However, i am having some difficulties with the following alarm.

I can not understand what does "reservation" stands for in the following alarm :

the alarms says: reservation of next cycle has been rejected while piece is unclamped.

The effect of the alarm is : cycle reservation is not accepted

Remedy : clamp piece and press reservatio push-button.

Any help would be appreciated

I would take that to mean that Registration of the next cycle, in other words it sounds like the cycle start is interupted until the conditions are met, IOW "Clamp piece and press Cycle Start"
That how I would interpret it.
