    ljoe1969,

How did go about making the anti-backlash nut shown in your CAD drawing?

    Are there any springs used?

Can you give me an overall view of it, please.

    Ijoe1969,
    That will work Joe.
The threaded portion of the nut is cut half way through and when you tighten the allen bolt shown in your drawing, it will cause the threaded portion of the nut to squeeze together causing reducing or eleminating the play.

Those plastics are similar so I don't think it matters much.

    I wish it wouldn't crash.

Of the three, Delrin is probably the best choice due to its low coefficient of thermal expansion.

If you look around, I think you'll find that most anti-backlash nuts are made of Delrin.
